The objective of the Scientific Information Program is to strengthen and guarantee access to national and international scientific information for research, education and innovation purposes through initiatives of high public value, such as the administration of the National Infrastructure for Access to Scientific and Technological Information.

The Scientific Information System - SIC - is a site that integrates and centralizes the different services, platforms and contents of the Program. Specifically, the Digital Repository of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT) was created to facilitate digital access and preservation of research results and its production of instruments financed by Conicyt. It is organized in communities that correspond to the structure of the Programs and Departments of the National Commission.
