A FEDERATED INFRASTRUCTURE BASED ON NATIONAL NODES
LA Referencia is currently made up of twelve Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. These countries have national nodes that in turn bring together various local repositories, mainly universities.
Following the technical standards of LA Referencia, the networks of each country are the effective bridge to integrate contents in the Search of scientific documents. In several countries the nodes are operated by the Science and Technology Body and in others it is delegated to a consortium of universities or academic network.
