| Sumario: | The parameters from von Bertalanffys growth equation were estimated for Mugil curema located in Cuyutlancoastal lagoon in Colima, Mexico. Growth parameters were L∞= 364.7 mm, W∞ = 456.61 g, k = 0.219, to = -1.557,(A 0.95) = 15 years. Some important differences among growth rates of this species from other areas wereobserved. Significant differences in the growth rate between sexes were found: females: L∞ = 365.8 mm, k =0.221, to = -0.505; A0.95 = 14 years; males: L∞ = 322.0 mm, k = 0.251, to = -0.441, A0.95 = 12 years. |
